Privacy Policy
Effective August 4, 2026
Curbside Kitchens is a neighborhood app that connects people with home cooks doing weekly meal-prep drops. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we don't run ads, we don't sell data, and payments never touch our servers.
What we collect
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name and email address | Your account — signing in, and so cooks know who reserved portions. |
| Phone number (optional) | Only if you add it, so a cook can reach you about a pickup. |
| Community | To show you drops from cooks near you. This is a town-level choice (for example "Northfield"), never your GPS location — the app doesn't request location access. |
| Cook profile (if you sell) | Your kitchen name, bio, and the payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle) you choose to show buyers. |
| Menus, photos, and orders | The content of the marketplace itself — what's cooking, what you reserved, and any note you attach to an order. |
What we don't collect
- No payment information. Payments happen entirely outside the app, directly between you and the cook. We never see card numbers, bank details, or payment activity.
- No location tracking. No GPS, no background location.
- No advertising or analytics trackers. There are no third-party ad or analytics SDKs in the app.
Where your data lives
Account data, menus, and orders are stored on servers we operate. Meal photos are stored with Cloudflare Images, a hosting service that serves the pictures you see in the app. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Who can see what
- Your name (and note, if you add one) is visible to a cook when you reserve from their drop.
- A cook's kitchen name, bio, menus, photos, and payment handles are visible to people in their community.
- We don't share or sell your information to anyone else. We would disclose information only if legally required to.
Emails
The app sends account emails only — things like password resets and email verification. No marketing emails.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the Profile tab in the app. That permanently removes your account and profile. You can also email info@ericolsen.studio from your account email and we'll delete it for you.
Children
Curbside Kitchens isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
